A small village just southeast of Tel Aviv called Kfar Chabad was founded by 74 families.
Does that building look familiar? That's probably because you know it as the world famous "770": Global HQ of Chabad Lubavitch, located in Brooklyn, NY. This image here is of an exact replica of the building that currently stands in Brooklyn.
Chabad Lubavitch is a Chasidic Jewish movement that following the teachings of the Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, emphasizes outreach and the need to kindle the flame of Jewish identity in every Jew, no matter where they may be, no matter how disconnected they may be from their faith. . .
In some countries, "Chabad Houses", aka synagogues, are the only Jewish Centers that one will find.
