On this day, the Arab summit in Khartoum adopted its resolutions. The text says the heads of state would work for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Arab lands occupied since June 5, within the principles of “no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it,” and insistence on the rights of the Palestinian people in their own country.

The summit had opened on August 29. The resolutions are dated September 1.
