On this day, Magen David Adom was founded in Tel Aviv. The organization records that it was then called a society for fast help during a disaster, and that this was a second founding.
Its own ninetieth-anniversary account says the British high commissioner approved the registration of the Association for Rapid Assistance on this day. A station was later opened on Nahalat Binyamin Street.
